The start of the European University Championship in Combat Sports awaits us in two days, and the sports facilities for the competition in Taekwondo, Judo, Karate and Kickboxing are getting prepared. 

The Karate championship will be held in the Bojan Stranić Hall, located near the athletics village. The sports facility is named after a Croatian painter and is known as a Volleyball home in Zagreb. The capacity of the hall is 1500 seats and was used for the karate and volleyball competition at the European University Games 2016. 

Taekwondo athletes will compete on tatami which is placed in the hall Trešnjevka, capacity 1000 seats. Another name for this sports facility, built in the late 50 of the 20th century, is the Box of matches and to the construction of the House of Sports was the largest hall in Zagreb.

Home of sports will be the arena for the judo and kickboxing competition. The capacity of the hall in which a kickboxing arena will be placed is 5000 seats, while the one in which the judo will compete is 3500 seats. The hall was open in 1972. on the basketball match between Europe and the United States of America.
