On February 24, Croatian Academic Sports Federation held its karate national universities championship, which also served as one of the test events for the upcoming EUSA Combat Championships. The most successful university was the University of Zagreb, while the University of Split ended on second and the University of Osijek in third place. Croatian athletes had a good opportunity to prepare for this summer's championship, while the organizers tested some organizational aspects. The event was visited by the Croatian karate community, gathered around Croatian Karate Federation and Karate club "Hrvatski Dragovoljac", joined with EUSA sports manager, Besim Aliti.
