First and historical EUSA Combat Championship consisted out of four sports ended in a thrilling Closing Ceremony in Volleyball Hall “Bojan Stranić”. Precisely 404 universities from 36 European countries took part in this year’s edition of the event, the 1st in EUSA history by this name. 

After challenging three days of competition and interesting fights, as same as some big names, we got our medalist. The five most successful Universities were:

1.The University of Physical Education (HUN) with a total of 6 medals (5 gold, 1 bronze)

2. The University of Zagreb (CRO) with 13 medals (4 gold, 6 silver, 3 bronze)

3. The National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport (3 gold, 1 bronze)

4. National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (3 gold, 2 bronze)

5. The University of Valencia (2 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze)

Mr Nikola Vincetić, project manager of the competition addressed all the participants, volunteers and organizers and thanked for beautiful four days, all the efforts and great corporations on all parts. Mr Besim Aliti exchanged token of appreciation and Paque of the Organizing Committee with the president of Croatian Croatian Academic Sports Federation HASS and the Organizing Committee, Mr Zrinko Čustonja, for achieved cooperation in the organization of this Championship.

For the end of this Ceremony, EUSA flag was lowered and handed over from the current organizer of EUSA. Combat Championship isn’t going far. Next year the host will be Belgrade as the part of the European Universities Games 2020, and year after that we are once again back in Zagreb.
